Carolyn Hu is an emerging artist studying at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York. Her passion for painting began in childhood, when watercolor experiments at home and frequent visits to art museums first sparked her curiosity and inspired her to create her own work.
Today, Hu works primarily in oil painting, with a focus on complementary and analogous color mood studies. She has explored still life and natural landscapes, and her academic training spans Drawing, Digital Media, Animation, 3D Design, and Painting. She focuses on how color shapes emotion and the overall look of a painting. She looks forward to continuing to develop her oil painting practice while exploring new subjects and incorporating additional mediums into her work.
Although she is a relatively new artist in a formal sense, she has been drawn to painting since childhood, when watercolor at home and frequent visits to art museums first sparked her curiosity and inspired her to create her own work.
